August 11 : Summer Update
We hope everyone is enjoying the holidays, training is intermittent due to the changing weather. With summer ending soon and winter training approaching, we are organising a set plan so we have the sessions available in advance. We also hope to welcome new athletes to the club as well. Stay tuned!
June 5 : Norfolk Schools Timetable - UEA
Attached below is the timetable for Saturday's event.
April 27 : Teamsheet & Directions for 29/04 EAL @ Kings Lynn
Please find on the links below the teamsheets for sunday's first EAL at Kings Lynn. Due to some age groups being over-subscribed, we have many non-scorers. Being a non-scorer gives athletes a chance to compete and get a good time/distance on the track/field, meaning you could be more likely to be the scorer at the next competition. Please text Ash if you have any questions.
Please also find a map to get to the Lynn Sportspark.
The postcode for the track is PE30 2NB - The entrance on Greenpark avenue is closed so you will have to arrive off the northern bypass(Edward Benefer Way). Any queries on this please contact Lynnsport directly on 01553 818001.

October 2017 : The clubs stand on Juniors turning up to Train with the Seniors.
Over the past few years a number of discussions and situations have arisen regarding Juniors (those aged under 18 - UKA rules) attending Senior Club sessions.
We are affiliated to UK Athletics who set out a number of rules for this, some are a guide for those clubs to work within, allowing them a certain amount of flexibility but maintaining no breach of rules and any public liability or duty of care issues.
So to clarify from UK Athletics perspective and what we at dereham Runners AC abide by...
- Affiliated clubs who have a junior group run by qualified coaches, advise that all those under the age of 18 run with the junior group, however the flexibility here is that a club can allow those at 16yrs+ to join the senior sessions as long as the following 3 points are met.
- They are club members.
- They have parents consent.
- The session location is of low-risk, i.e. not on public roads, pathways acceptable)
Under no circumstances can Under 12’s train with Seniors.
Please do remember that this is only on the club official training nights.

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Please ensure your contact number is updated in the My Profile section (where we can contact you in case there are changes to the above at short notice i.e. weather or facilities are not available).
An email address is required for Dereham Runners AC membership. A junior member without an email account can use anyone's email account (e.g. a parent/guardian email address). Once the junior member reaches an age to have their own email account this can be updated in My Profile - see also below:
Juniors with their own e-mail account
A parent/guardian can choose to have copies of emails to be copied to one other email account too (i.e. their own email account): simply tick the "Send notifications to parents" box in My Profile and provide an address.
Members will be emailed to logon each March to renew membership and agree to the Club rules.
Code of conduct
Dereham Runners A.C. is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. See the club's code of conduct.
In return we would ask that a parent/guardian be prompt to collect a Junior member after training or race as two members of the club (Coach / Committee member / Designated person) are unable to leave until all Juniors have been collected.
