Membership and applicants Information
This year we have introduced the ability to pay by BACS, please read the clubs rules and process for this.
Membership fees are due on 1st April, it has been decided that we only need a membership form from you if you're either a new member, or, if you're an existing member & any details about you have changed since your last membership renewal ie: address, mobile number etc. Any amendments required apply to both Clubbuzz - The Dereham Runners website & England Athletics, with whom ALL members are registered. ALL members have the facility to update their details on our website (clubbuzz) themselves, however, England Athletics will be updated by us on your behalf. If deciding to use this method of payment, please ensure that you do the following: Enter your name in the reference box as well as 'Dereham Runners membership'. Account Name: Dereham Runners Sort code: 40-20-08, Account Number: 11146149. If you're paying multiple memberships within a family via BAC's, please also email Matthew Freezer club treasurer at: firstname.lastname@example.org, to confirm a split of payments. If choosing to pay by either cash or cheque, please ensure that payment + membership form (if requiring updates to personal details), is enclosed in a sealed envelope with the following written on the front: your name/s, the amount enclosed either cash/cheque, & if a child, their d.o.b & pass to either Matthew Freezer - club treasurer, or Emma - club/membership secretary. Please make cheques payable to: Dereham Runners AC. The updated membership form can be emailed to: email@example.com. If unable to email a copy to the email address above, a hard copy will be accepted. *For parents of juniors, if your child will be celebrating their 11th birthday between 1.4.17 - 31.3.18, they are now eligible to pay the same amount as seniors - £30 for a full year's membership, in order to cover them as a 'competitive' athlete with England Athletics. If you haven't already done so, please re-register for another year on our club website. Please also ensure that any medical information ie: current prescribed medication is kept up-to-date or any medical conditions are noted under your profile on the club website, in the event of requiring medical attention. This also includes next of kin or any close relatives contact details. For anyone not intending to re-register & renew their membership with Dereham Runners, please 'unregister' on the club website. If anyone has any further queries other than those associated to BAC's payments, please do not hesitate to contact Emma at: firstname.lastname@example.org

We are happy to allow all prospective members a short trial period with us at our outdoor coaching sessions to see what we can offer. You’ll find us friendly and hopefully we can offer what you are looking for in a running club.
The club regularly has runners competing in the London Marathon, and there is always at least one place available through the club. In addition to runners training for the London Marathon there are often runners training for an autumn marathon. During the last few years marathons held at Edinburgh, Loch Ness, Florence, Barcelona, New York and San Sebastion have had a runner from the club competing. Since 2006, every year, seventeen runners plus several members as the support crew, run the 194 mile Round Norfolk Relay.
The club has had runners competing in the 10km and half marathon in 2006 and 2007 in Caudebec. Caudebec is situated in Northern France and is the twin town to Dereham. Caudebec sent a contingent of eighteen runners over to compete in our 10 mile road race held in May 2007.
In addition to coaching evenings the club has in the past undertaken the following activities:-
- 10-mile and 5K road races.
- Club 10km handicap & X/C events during the summer.
- Summer BBQ – no running permitted!
Potential/new members please also read the Welcome Pack.
